Epiphany

a sudden intuitive realization
manifested from an inner soul
how time passes so quickly
happy times never lasted
but the beauty is
it will always remain sealed

two wills pervaded
and took control of a destiny
a promise was made
of truth, faith and compromise
for another promise awaited
of union, love and sacrifice

what followed were moments
blithe and merry
emotions of being loved
a feeling of belonging
living a purpose
waiting for a better tomorrow

this year's christmas
is far from merry
bereft and abandoned
forlorn and forsaken
is a daily must
before the gear picks up

falling is not all bad
we grow a little stronger
we experience sudden flashes
that change the course
we view ourselves
and the way
we comprehend our realities
